90 mins

So you think you know the Brontë sisters? Think again.

Half-Life of a Stolen Sister is a kaleidoscopic look at the lives of the literary siblings responsible for some of the greatest novels of all time. With a playful approach to form, Rachel Cantor blends historical fact and imaginative fiction in a joyful celebration and reimagining of Emily, Charlotte and Anne, and the forces that shaped them as literary legends.

Cantor will discuss her approach to the sisters’ stories, what she discovered in her research and what compelled her to reexamine the lives and legacies of the extraordinary Brontës. Victorian-inspired refreshments will be served.

Moderated by Catherine Bush.

Please note, this event will take place in Harbourfront Centre’s Brigantine Room, not Lakeside Terrace.

This event will be followed by a book signing.
