Administrative Assistant, Programming (Contract)

Reporting to: Programming Coordinator
Type of Employment: Temporary, full-time contract (35 hours/week, Mondays to Fridays) 
Dates: May 23 to October 10, 2022 (8 weeks through Canada Summer Jobs with a 12-week extension) 

The Administrative Assistant, Programming, reporting to the Programming Coordinator, will provide general assistance to TIFA during the preparation of MOTIVE Crime & Mystery Festival and of the 43rd Festival edition. The Assistant’s focus will be supporting programming and event planning initiatives. The overall objective is to support the development and implementation of TIFA’s creative programme of festivals, events, and activities and to strengthen TIFA’s relationship with members of the publishing community.

Administrative Assistant, Events (Contract)

Reporting to: Senior Event Producer
Type of Employment: temporary, full-time contract (35 hours/week, Mondays to Fridays)
Dates: July 5 – October 11, 2022 (8 weeks through Canada Summer Jobs with a 6-week extension)

The Administrative Assistant, Events will receive a unique introduction to the world of event coordination in the not-for-profit sector. Reporting to the Senior Event Producer, the incumbent will be responsible for assisting in event logistics and publisher and author communications in preparation for MOTIVE Crime & Mystery Festival and for the 43rd Festival edition. The overall objective is to support the execution of TIFA’s programme of festivals, events, and activities and to strengthen TIFA’s relationship with members of the publishing community. The incumbent will assist will all aspects of event logistics and production but will focus on communications and participant coordination.

Administrative Assistant, Marketing (Contract)

Reporting to: Head of Marketing
Type of Employment: temporary, full-time contract (35 hours/week, Mondays to Fridays)
Dates: July 5 – October 11, 2022 (8 weeks through Canada Summer Jobs with a 6-week extension)

The Administrative Assistant, Marketing will provide general assistance to the TIFA marketing and communications team, particularly in the areas of advertising (digital and traditional), email campaigns and branded communications. The Administrative Assistant, Marketing will support strategies and tactics designed to increase audience numbers and ticket revenue from TIFA’s annual festivals and other programming (digital and in-person).
