TIFA’s most provocative conversation series returns. Critical Conversations brings together authors and industry experts in candid conversation to examine the facets of culture and politics that shape the world around us and the books we read. Led by Dr. Richard Bazinet, this conversation will explore our flawed and often problematic relationships with food, from the industrial process, food design and development, to natural and processed food, and how it all impacts our bodies. Related to this, is the creation of language and narratives that influence our decision-making. This essential event will deconstruct the myths and metaphors around the diet and the food we eat. Dr. Bazinet is Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Brain Lipid Metabolism at University of Toronto.
