Righting Old Wrongs

Elizabeth Hay and Joan Thomas

Righting Old Wrongs

Elizabeth Hay and Joan Thomas

1:30pm

Sunday, October 1, 2023

Harbourfront Centre Theatre

60 mins

Award-winning writers Elizabeth Hay and Joan Thomas come together to discuss the power of memory, learning to let go and what happens when friends turn into enemies.

In Elizabeth Hay’s Snow Road Station, two women confront the repercussions of past decisions and the realities of aging as the world spins madly on around them. Meanwhile, in Wild Hope by Joan Thomas, when Isla’s husband Jake disappears, she’s left untangling the threads of Jake’s complicated past.

Two of Canada’s master storytellers take on the timeless question of what we’ll do when the past comes back to haunt us and who we become in the aftermath.

Moderated by Janet Somerville.

This event will be followed by a book signing.
