Debut Authors at TIFA 2018

As exciting as it is to see established and world-renowned writers take the stage at the Toronto International Festival of Authors, acquainting yourself with emerging authors can be equally thrilling. After all, you never know who might become the next big name in writing. For example, the Festival has hosted such authors as Miriam Toews, Jonathan Safran Foer and David Benioff (co-creator and showrunner of HBO’s Game of Thrones) while in the early stages their careers.

A Day In the Life of University of Toronto Bookstore’s Brian C. Curran

Situated a stone’s throw away from Spadina and College Streets, the historic University of Toronto Bookstore building stands tall with pride. We’re here on a Monday morning to meet Brian Charles Curran (32), a man of many titles (manager, trade buyer and off-site events coordinator), who has promised to show us around the heritage building and its suite of services.
