Book Summit 21
Book Summit 21 originally took place on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Each of the events below will be re-released on Monday, July 12 at 9am ET until Friday, July 16 at 5pm ET for registrants to rewatch or catch up on any sessions they missed. It was presented by the Book and Periodical Council (BPC) in partnership with the Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA).
2020 was a year that shook the world, challenging the way we work, how we reach customers, and publishers’, booksellers’, and libraries’ roles in the community. What should we take from the year’s upheavals, and how can we adapt and be more resilient going forward? How can we support staff and boost job satisfaction? How can we create community and engagement online? How can publishing further social and environmental justice? The 19th edition of Book Summit looked at how we can look after the triple bottom line and foster a thriving, sustainable industry.
