World in Other Words: Basque Writers in Conversation
September 30 at 2:30pm
Meet storytellers from unique communities around the world and across the local neighbourhoods of Toronto in the World in Other Words. The Basque language is one of the oldest in the world and represented resistance as it fought to survive in Franco’s Spain. It now reflects a remarkable contemporary literary scene. In these inspiring sessions, the panel features three of the most exciting Basque writers, Uxue Alberdi Estibaritz, Danele Sarriugarte Mochales and Miren Amuriza Plaza who reflect on the power and creativity of language and words, spoken, written and translated.
