TIFA’s most provocative conversation series returns. Critical Conversations brings together authors and industry experts in candid conversation to examine the facets of culture and politics that shape the world around us and the books we read. What if talking about racism was as easy as baking cakes, frying plantains or cooking rice? The Antiracist Kitchen: 21 Stories (and Recipes) is an anthology celebrating food, family, activism and resistance, highlighting the role of food in our lives and how it has helped fight discrimination, reclaim culture and celebrate people with different backgrounds. Join The Antiracist Kitchen contributors including author Nadia L. Hohn for an interactive conversation as they discuss experiences with racism, their favourite foods, how food culture expands understanding and how the power of the simple act of sitting down can help bring us all together.

This event will be followed by a book signing.
