Sustainable Publishing in a Changing World
Thursday, June 17, 2021
Presented by the Book and Periodical Council (BPC) in partnership with the Toronto International Festival of Authors (TIFA).
2020 was a year that shook the world, challenging the way we work, how we reach customers, and publishers’, booksellers’, and libraries’ roles in the community. What should we take from the year’s upheavals, and how can we adapt and be more resilient going forward? How can we support staff and boost job satisfaction? How can we create community and engagement online? How can publishing further social and environmental justice? The 19th edition of Book Summit looks to how we can look after the triple bottom line and foster a thriving, sustainable industry.
Book Summit 21 will feature a combination of live and pre-recorded virtual sessions that will take place directly on the TIFA website. Approximately 24 hours in advance of the event, registrants will receive an email with the password to unlock all video content.
More information, including the full event calendar, frequently asked questions and links to view each session, will be added to this page at a later date. We recommend bookmarking this page in advance.
In the meantime, session details and speaker bios can be found at booksummit.ca.
