Roxanne Bouchard is a French-Canadian author, lecturer and playwright. Her fifth novel (first translated into English) We Were the Salt of the Sea was published in 2018 to resounding critical acclaim, shortlisted for multiple awards and winning the Quai Du Polar Crime Book of the Year. The second in the Detective Morales series, The Coral Bride, was a bestseller in Canada, shortlisting for the CWA Crime in Translation Dagger and winning the Crime Writers of Canada Book of the Year. Whisper of the Seals soon followed suit. Roxanne’s books have been translated into eight languages. She lives in Quebec with her partner, an undertaker.
