Bio

Ørjan Karlsson grew up in Bodø, in the far north of Norway. After studying sociology, he received officer training in the army and has taken part in many overseas missions. He has worked for the Ministry of Defence and is now head of department at the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection. He has written a wide range of thrillers and sci-fi novels, and been shortlisted for or won numerous awards, with many in production for the screen. He lives in Nordland, where the Jakob Weber series is set. Into Thin Air is the first book in his first crime series.
