Nour Abouzeid is a poet, spoken word artist and creative curator based in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to working with local artists, he has also performed in the UK, Malaysia and the USA. In 2010, he was the Victorian State Champion at the Australian Poetry Slam and in 2018, Nour qualified for the Melbourne Slam Team, the only team representing Australia at the National Poetry Slam in Chicago. Nour enjoys exploring themes around identity, social justice and trying to reconcile the struggles of a diaspora attempting to find their place in a world that does not seem to want them.
