About

Two authors, two continents, and one unflinching look at how crime reshapes lives – and stories. Argentinian forensic expert and crime novelist Gastón Intelisano brings his real-world experience in autopsy rooms and criminal investigations to the page in the Santiago Soler detective series. Canadian writer and academic Ji Hong Sayo, in his haunting debut Angelhunting, weaves a narrative of violence, trauma, and survival grounded in clinical precision and emotional truth. Together, they examine how criminal psychology, forensic detail, and personal memory converge in crime fiction, and how writing becomes a form of investigation in its own right.

Moderated by Tomas Hachard.

Santiago Soler, head of the Crime Scene Unit of the Institute of Forensic Sciences of the City of Mar del Plata, must attend a new crime scene in the middle of the morning, less than twenty-four hours after investigating the discovery of the body of an unidentified woman. The body of the second woman is found half-naked and in a sector of the "Rock Pass" full of strange symbols that surround her.

Having tried his hand at medicine, pickpocketing, and good old-fashioned thuggery, Seamus Caron has finally settled into life as a private detective, hunting down lost money and wandering husbands. It’s not glamorous work, but it pays the bills and provides a steady supply of fistfights for entertainment.
