Santiago Soler, head of the Crime Scene Unit of the Institute of Forensic Sciences of the City of Mar del Plata, must attend a new crime scene in the middle of the morning, less than twenty-four hours after investigating the discovery of the body of an unidentified woman.

The body of the second woman is found half-naked and in a sector of the “Rock Pass” full of strange symbols that surround her. Is this a ritualistic crime? Are both crimes connected?

The injuries between one victim and another are not the same, nor are the mechanisms of death, but both bodies present traces of a strange substance. Apparently, someone has painted their faces with a pigment that, under ultraviolet light, emits an intense and fleeting glow, like that of a will-o’-the-wisp.

Furthermore, it is evident that he has deliberately placed both bodies in a symbolic position to create a shocking impression.

Everything will get complicated when their identities are revealed.

The case will lead Soler to enter the dark world of witchcraft, organized crime, journalistic investigations and corruption in the high echelons of justice.

Santiago Soler, jefe de la Unidad Escena del Crimen del Instituto de Ciencias Forenses de la Ciudad de Mar del Plata, debe asistir a un nuevo lugar de los hechos en medio de la madrugada, menos de veinticuatro horas después de estar investigando el hallazgo del cuerpo de una mujer no identificada.

El cadáver de la segunda mujer es encontrado semidesnudo y en un sector del “Paso de las Rocas” lleno de extraños símbolos que la rodean. ¿Se trata de un crimen ritualista? ¿Están conectados ambos crímenes?

Las lesiones entre una víctima y otra no son las mismas, tampoco los mecanismo de muerte, pero ambos cuerpos presentan rastros de una extraña sustancia. Al parecer, alguien ha pintado sus rostros con un pigmento que bajo la luz ultravioleta, emitir un intenso y fugaz brillo, como el de un fuego fatuo.

Además, resulta evidente que, de forma deliberada, ha colocado ambos cuerpos en una postura simbólica para provocar una estremecedora impresión.

Todo se complicará cuando se develen sus identidades.

El caso llevará a Soler a adentrarse en el oscuro mundo de la brujería, el crimen organizado, las investigaciones periodísticas y la corrupción en las altas esferas de la justicia.
