He has taught creative writing and been a writer-in-residence at various institutions over the last decade, and has been an arts journalist for over 20 years. Over 90 minutes, Johnstone will share the process of self-editing to become a concise and effective writer. All writing levels welcome.

Born in Canada, Sullivan moved to the UK where she began her career in publishing as an assistant and worked up the ranks to eventually become a commissioning editor and author. Her experience was the catalyst to founding Orenda Books, where author care and high-quality, culturally diverse, bold and original writing are paramount. Under her leadership, Orenda Books has transformed crime publishing in translation as we know it today, and launched the careers of many iconic writers, including many Nordic bestsellers such as Ragnar Jónasson.
