Toronto Lit Up: Jacob Scheier
May 09 at 7:30pm

Join Jacob Scheier on Sunday, May 9 at 7:30pm ET to celebrate the launch of his new poetry collection, Is This Scary?, with ECW Press and Workman Arts. The event will feature a conversation with spoken word poet, playwright and musician Charlie Petch, as well as performances by Charlie and legendary poet and visual artist bill bissett.
Is This Scary? digs deep into internal landscapes of suffering, including depression and anxiety, chronic physical ailment, and rare neurological malady. With its many eccentric songs and odes to medications and medical procedures, this book is full of both levity and unapologetic lament. You can purchase your copy of the book from ECW Press here.
The event has passed. Thank you for joining us!
