After finishing a master’s degree in Denmark, Bjarni Thorsteinsson worked for two years as a teacher at Iceland University. For the last 30 years, he has been working in publishing. Thorsteinsson began as an editor, but for the last 16 years he has been working as the publishing director at Veröld, an imprint of Bjartur and Veröld. Veröld is the leading publisher in crime literature in Iceland, marking international success with authors like Yrsa Sigurðardóttir and Ragnar Jónasson, and their newest star, Eva Björg Ægisdottir (whose books have been published in 30 languages now).
