Join author Curtis Campbell on October 6 at Glad Day Bookshop for the launch of his debut novel, Dragging Mason County (Annick Press). The cabaret-style launch with start at 7pm and will be hosted by Pearle Harbour.

This is a free Toronto Lit Up event. Food and drinks will be available. There will also be a raffle benefiting Friends of Ruby.


Toronto Lit Up is a multi-year initiative, started in 2016 by the Toronto International Festival of Authors and the Toronto Arts Council, to spotlight Toronto writers and empower local artists with career-building opportunities. Between April 2016 and March 2023, Toronto Lit Up has presented 165 events featuring over 200 Toronto authors and illustrators. Toronto Lit Up book launches take place throughout the year at venues across the city. They are open to the public and free to attend. Click here for more information.

Featured Authors

Curtis Campbell is a writer, comedian and theatre artist. His plays are mainstays of the Toronto indie theatre scene, and he is the winner of the inaugural Comedy Bar and Second City Award for Best Comedy at the 2022 Toronto Fringe. NOW Toronto has described Curtis’ work as “razor sharp,” the Toronto Star called it “pitch perfect satire” and Curtis’ mother has described it as “just not my cup of tea.” Curtis grew up in rural Ontario and now lives in Toronto with an artist named Kevin and their dog, Pip. Dragging Mason County is his debut novel.
