Joni Di Placido is originally from Edinburgh and has an MA in Italian and Spanish from the University of St Andrews. She taught English in Scotland, Italy, and the Czech Republic before settling in Toronto, where she did a Graduate Certificate in Publishing and now works with indie authors on Kobo Writing Life. She is the co-founder of Page & Proof Editorial, where her focus is on copy editing and line editing.

Rachel Wharton left her hometown at seventeen to follow her love of literature to Toronto, where she obtained a BA in English Literature, and a Graduate Certificate in Publishing. She spent some time working odd jobs in both Manhattan and Sydney before returning to her true geographical love. Rachel now works at Rakuten Kobo as an Author Engagement Manager on the Kobo Writing Life team, and is the co-founder of Page & Proof Editorial, editing more than twenty novels, including USA Today and New York Times bestselling romances.
