Book lovers, writers and publishing professionals alike will be laughing and cringing with Eisner Award-winning cartoonist Tom Gauld in his newest comic collection, Revenge of the Librarians. In this book about books, the Scottish author skillfully satirises society, institutions and any form of literature from Jane Eyre to Game of Thrones. A regular columnist for The Guardian (UK) and The New Scientist, Gauld playfully teases readers to come face-to-face with the fears we refuse to admit we have, including failure, creativity and the impending doom of the to-be-read pile. Meet Gauld in lively conversation on the TIFA stage, and experience his artwork from Revenge of the Librarians up close, as currently on exhibition in the Marilyn Brewer Community Space.
