Language of Loss: Naja Marie Aidt & Michael Pedersen
September 24 at 4pm
Join Naja Marie Aidt and Michael Pedersen for a poignant, personal conversation about the healing power of expression through words in each of their latest books. Aidt offers up her intensely moving memoir When Death Takes Something Away from You Give It Back, an exploration of the language of poetry, loss and love in the immediate aftermath of her 25-year-old son’s death. In Pedersen’s Boy Friends, what began as a love letter to help him confront the bewildering process of grief after the loss of a close friend, grew into a touching, magical tribute to the male friendships that have transformed his life.
