TIFA’s most provocative conversation series returns. Critical Conversations brings together authors and industry experts in candid conversation to examine the facets of culture and politics that shape the world around us and the books we read. In the new global order defined by the information age, a nation state’s borders are perilously porous from attack from those wishing to do harm. This has been highlighted in recent years by Russian interference in elections and the ongoing investigation into the depth of China’s interference in Canadian politics. With greater actors fighting on the global stage, how does Canada protect and promote itself? This panel is led by Camara Chambers, and features Rob Goodman, author of Not Here: Why American Democracy Is Eroding and How Canada Can Protect Itself.

This event will be followed by a book signing.
