About

Join Amy Stuart on October 8, 2024, at 7pm for a conversation about her new book, A Death at the Party. Stuart takes the premise of Mrs. Dalloway and turns it into a fast-paced psychological thriller. While one hundred guests mingle at her party, the main character Nadine finds herself looking over a dead body on her bathroom floor, in this “whydunit” tension-filled tale.

By the Lake Book Club offers six Tuesday-night events, between February and December featuring leading Canadian authors in conversation with Humber College graduates and alumni. Each in-person event includes a reading, discussion, audience Q&A, book-signing and American sign language interpretation. Virtual events are subtitled live and provide online viewing and audio.

By The Lake Book Club events are held at the Assembly Hall, in the heart of South Etobicoke. A virtual only ticket is also available. Book your 6-ticket package by February 6 and save!

Cost: $10 – $28

This Assembly Hall program is presented in partnership with Humber College’s Faculty of Media & Creative Arts and the Toronto International Festival of Authors.
