Synopsis
Based on an ancient Inuit traditional story, this beautifully illustrated picture book tells of the appearance of the first humans on earth, and how from them all the peoples of the earth emerged. From a mound of simple dirt, through magic and intention, the world we know today slowly takes shape across the page.

About the Author
Maika Harper is a mixed Inuk actor, model, and author born and raised in Iqaluit, Nunavut and now residing in Toronto, Ontario. She briefly studied classical theatre in the BFA program at the University of Windsor before landing a leading role on Mohawk Girls (2014-2017) as Anna. She then went on to appearances in Kim’s Convenience (2016), Burden of Truth (2018), and Law and Order: Toronto (2024) along with making her film debut in Christopher MacBride’s Flashback in 2020.
