Surajit Roy Majumder

Surajit Roy Majumder, born in Bagerhat, Bangladesh, graduated and received a master’s degree in English. He worked briefly as a journalist, then joined the civil service and taught in public colleges. Along with designing a national language curriculum as a curriculum specialist, he has co-authored English textbooks, worked as an official translator and editor of textbooks and was a publishing coordinator. He has also presented research papers, edited journals/magazines, published articles, short fictions and poems in Bengali and English from Dhaka and Toronto. He is currently living in Toronto and translating and critiquing Canadian literature.
