Sriranjani Vijenthira is a Sri Lankan native who immigrated to Toronto in 1992. She works as a freelance Tamil-language interpreter, and as a Tamil teacher for the Toronto District School Board. She formerly worked as a biology teacher in Sri Lanka after attaining her Bachelor of Sciences in at the University of Peradeniya. She also enjoys writing fiction and has published 12 books. She is the mother of three girls.
