Bio
Salvador Alanis (b. Mexico City) is a poet and cultural promoter. His work combines visual arts, video, performance and film. He has been a fellow of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts on four occasions, and his work in electronic media has won multiple international awards. His books, written in Spanish, have been translated into English and French. He has collaborated with magazines and newspapers in Mexico and Spain. He is the co-founder of the Institute for Creative Exchange in Toronto, and editor of ICE Press. He directed and produced the documentary Unfold: Mexican artists of the 90s.
