Rabindranath Maharaj is an award-winning Trinidadian-Canadian author of five novels and four short story collections. His novel The Amazing Absorbing Boy won the Trillium Book Award and the Toronto Book Award. His fiction has also been shortlisted for the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize, and the ReLit Award. A co-founder of LICHEN literary magazine, Maharaj has been a writer-in-residence and mentor at institutions including the University of Toronto, Humber School for Writers, and the Banff Writing Studio. He lives in Ajax, Ontario.
