In 2001, following a master’s degree in German and Russian literature and film studies, Marion Wichmann joined Ullstein in 2001 as a trainee in the paperback fiction department. She still loves acquiring commercial fiction, crime and fantasy from German and international authors, but her focus has shifted to upmarket and reading group fiction. As Editorial Director she oversees the List Verlag where international bestselling authors such as Richard Osman, Charlie Mackesy and Camilla Läckberg are published. After 20 years in the industry, a manuscript can still make her heart beat faster.
