Lisa Robertson is a Canadian poet, essayist, translator and novelist who lives in France. Born in Toronto in 1961, she was a long-time resident of Vancouver, where she was active in the collective life of artist-run centres. She has published ten books of poetry and three books of essays. She was given the C. D. Wright Award for Poetry by the Foundation for Contemporary Art in 2018, and her first novel, The Baudelaire Fractal (2020), was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award for Fiction. She works as a freelance art writer, lecturer and teacher.
