Bio
Julie Flett is a Cree–Métis author, illustrator, and artist who has received numerous accolades and awards for her books, including two Governor General’s Awards, two Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Awards, a TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award, and the American Indian Library Association Award. She is the author and illustrator of Birdsong and We All Play (Greystone Kids), and Wildberries and Owls See Clearly at Night: A Michif Alphabet (Simply Red). She is the illustrator of On the Trapline (Tundra Books) and When We Were Alone (Highwater Press), both written by David A. Robertson, and Monique Gray Smith’s My Heart Fills with Happiness, amongst many other acclaimed titles.
