Anne McLean

Anne McLean studied history in London, Ontario and literary translation in London, England, and now lives in Toronto, where she translates Latin American and Spanish novels, short stories, travelogues, memoirs and other writings by authors including Héctor Abad, Javier Cercas, Julio Cortázar and Evelio Rosero.  Novels she translated have twice been awarded both the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize and the Premio Valle Inclán. She won the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award with Juan Gabriel Vásquez for The Sound of Things Falling and was shortlisted for the Booker International Prize with the same author for The Shape of the Ruins.
