Born in 1962, Bahuleyan Jeyamohan is one of India’s most prolific and acclaimed literary voices. Fluent in Tamil and Malayalam, his vast body of work spans over 80 books, including novels, criticism, philosophy, and screenplays for major films like Ponniyin Selvan and Naan Kadavul. His masterworks include Vishnupuram, Kotravai, and the epic Venmurasu—a 26-volume retelling of the Mahabharata recognized as the longest novel ever written. Drawing on Indian philosophy, ecology, and Sangam literature, Jeyamohan’s honors include Singapore’s Tamil Author of the Year (2013) and NTU Writer in Residence (2016).
