Featured Authors

Emma Viskic is an award-winning Australian author. Her critically acclaimed debut Resurrection Bay was shortlisted for two CWA Daggers and won five Australian awards. Its sequels, And Fire Came Down and Darkness For Light, both won Sisters in Crime Davitt Awards and were shortlisted for the Barry Award for Best Paperback in the USA. Emma studied Australian sign language (Auslan) in order to write the Caleb Zelic thrillers, of which Those Who Perish is the fourth. In her former career as a classical clarinettist, Emma performed with José Carreras and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, and once played at an engagement party that ended in a brawl.

Roz Nay’s debut novel, Our Little Secret, was a national bestseller, won the Douglas Kennedy Prize for best foreign thriller in France, and was nominated for the Kobo Emerging Writer Prize for Mystery and the Arthur Ellis Best First Novel Award. Her second bestselling novel, Hurry Home, was shortlisted for the Crime Writers of Canada Best Crime Novel award and The Hunted, her third, was nominated for Best Crime Novel in 2022. Roz’s fourth thriller, The Offing, will be published in May 2024. She has lived and worked in Africa, Australia, the US and the UK. She now lives in British Columbia, Canada, with her husband and two children.
