Naja Marie Aidt

Bio

Naja Marie Aidt was born in Greenland and raised in Copenhagen. She is the author of eleven collections of poetry, a novel, and three short story collections, and the recipient of the Swedish Academy’s 2022 Nordic Prize. Her memoir, When Death Takes Something From You Give It Back, was longlisted for the 2019 National Book Award in Translated Literature and the 2020 PEN Translation Award, and was a finalist for the 2019 Kirkus Prize in Nonfiction. Her work has been translated into sixteen languages.
