Ice Floe Press publishes poetry, fiction, VISPO, art, video & spoken-word & hybrids by emerging, marginal, & underrepresented voices. We feature Canadian writers & international voices from Africa, USA, UK, Syria, Europe, India. We work collaboratively to develop new projects. In the early 1990s, we published a series of pamphlets, anthologies, a broadside series, etc. After a long hiatus, we re-emerged in 2019 with ongoing website projects, some guest-editing gigs (curating July 2019 Burning House Press with our ‘Secrets and Lies’ project), and a new print-based series of chapbooks & full-lengths. Since summer, 2019, we have published over 200 writers in web projects including a year-long Geographies project; our ongoing Dispatches from a Pandemic series; Adedayo Agarau’s New International Voices, and the now-complete Mother/Service/Voice project, developed by poet Jenny Mitchell. New projects forthcoming & in development incl. Kolkata-based Kushal Poddar’s poem-diaries, Postmarked: Quarantine, covering COVID lockdown through eerie, fractured, surreal entries & Pandemic Love and Other Affinities, an anthology of writing that will contain over 60 Canadian, US, & intl. writers including Hasan Namir, Chelsea Dingman, Catherine Graham, Ronna Bloom, Sam Strathman. Books soon from Sam Strathman, Whiskey Radish, Moira J. Saucer, Jaclyn Piudik & others.
