About

Our Critical Conversations series brings authors and experts together to examine the culture and politics that shape the world around us and the books we read. In this event moderated by Kevin Donovan (author and podcast host of Billionaire Murders and Death in a Small Town), panelists Kelly Bergstrom, Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Media at York University, and Kristi Lee, creator/narrator/executive producer of Canadian True Crime podcast, will explore the cultural phenomenon of true crime and examine why many of us are so fascinated by it. Learn about the body’s physical and psychological response to true crime and what it means for the way it’s reported on and consumed.

Moderator: Kevin Donovan

Please note, the time and location of this event has changed. The event will begin at 6:30pm in Lakeside Terrace.

This event is presented in partnership with Provocations Festival.
