About

Gather for an evening to celebrate Canada’s most prestigious annual fiction anthology, with Alexander MacLeod and Souvankham Thammavongsa, editors of Journey, the landmark special edition honouring the Writers’ Trust McClelland & Stewart Journey Prize anthology’s 35th anniversary and over three decades of introducing readers to the next generation of great Canadian writers.

MacLeod’s work has appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, The Guardian and the Globe and Mail. His first book, Light Lifting, was named a finalist for the Scotiabank Giller Prize, the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award and the Commonwealth Book Prize. Thammavongsa is the author of four poetry books, and the short story collection How to Pronounce Knife, winner of the 2020 Scotiabank Giller Prize and the Trillium Book Award, and a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award.
