Born in 1971, Hong Yeon-sik debuted as a comics artist in 1992. After ten years creating children’s comics, he graduated from an art university and turned to autobiographical graphic novels. He published Uncomfortably Happily and Umma’s Table, the latter expanding into a three-volume series. He recently serialized Days of an Old Father as a webtoon and is preparing a new work about working-class family life in 1980s Korea.
