Fall into the fantastical and creative worlds authors Bora Chung and Canisia Lubrin have created in their short story collections, Your Utopia and Code Noir. Chung first book in translation Cursed Bunny was shortlisted for the International Booker Prize brings to Toronto Your Utopia (translated by Anton Hur) blends horror, absurdity and dark humour in dystopian tales of immortality and human frailty. While Lubrin is an award-winning poet, editor and writer whose last book The Dyzgraphxst won The Griffin Prize. Her new book Code Noir features 59 interconnected stories inspired by historical decrees on slavery, spanning genres from realism to dystopia. The two authors will share what inspired these collections and the profound social commentary woven throughout them.
