About
Novelist and biographer, Nicholas Shakespeare’s life and career has been entwined with the world and words of Graham Greene. He first encountered Greene the novelist at sixteen, reading The Honorary Consul in Argentina where his diplomat father’s career unnervingly mirrored Greene’s novels. He met Greene the novelist five years later, the first of several meetings and correspondence that saw Shakespeare trusted with some of his most candid reflections. Graham Greene knew that the best thrillers are really moral investigations in disguise and that the line between the spy and the saint was always dangerously thin. Join Shakespeare for a conversation that moves from the shadowy world of The Third Man and Our Man in Havana to the moral frontiers of The Heart of the Matter and The Quiet American.
