About

Join cartoonist Léonie Bischoff for a discussion on Anaïs Nin and the art of the graphic novel. Anaïs Nin: A Sea of Lies (translated by Jenna Allen) tells the story of one of the best-known authors of women’s erotica in the 1920s and ‘30s, combining her life and art, the truth and fiction with illustrations as surreal and vivid as Nin’s own life. Bischoff will talk about what it was like writing and illustrating the graphic novel based on the literary icon and the joys and challenges that came with it.

Moderator: Claire Battershill
