About
Great crime stories are driven by character, motive and secrets but getting started can be the hardest part.
In this playful, hands-on workshop, Tarot cards are used as a creative tool to unlock ideas and build compelling crime scenarios. Drawing just three cards, you’ll generate a detective, a crime, and a hidden truth – the foundations of a gripping mystery. Using these prompts, we’ll explore archetypal characters, unexpected plot twists, and the tension between public identity and private motives, before shaping ideas into short character sketches or scenes.
No knowledge of Tarot or crime writing is needed. This session is designed to spark imagination, break through creative blocks, and offer a fresh way into storytelling.
Come along, experiment, and see what emerges.
