Writer and screenwriter, ex-lieutenant in the Paris banlieues, Olivier Norek is the author of seven widely acclaimed international best-selling novels. They have sold 3 million copies in France alone, won over twenty prestigious literary prizes and been translated in more than 20 languages. His novel Between Two Worlds was The Times and Sunday Times “Crime Novel of the Year 2024”. While researching his first historical thriller, The Winter Warriors, the author spent three months (the duration of the Winter War itself ) in Finland, experiencing the –35°C conditions in which the war was fought and in which more than 130,000 Russian soldiers died before a peace treaty was signed in March 1940.
