About

The Korea-Canada Exchange Program: Anthology Project which has invited Korean and Canadian writers such as Yann Martel, Kim Thuy, Kim Ae-ran and Yun Ko-eun to discover the value of transcending borders and explore the common themes of diversity and inclusion. The culmination of this multinational project will be an anthology of eight newly written short stories, available in both Korean and English, to be published in 2025. Join us for a fascinating discussion with two of the contributing authors, Bora Chung, Korean writer and translator whose collection of short stories, Cursed Bunny, was shortlisted for the 2022 International Booker Prize, and Lisa Bird-Wilson, a Saskatchewan Métis and Cree poet, short story writer and novelist whose last novel Probably Ruby, was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award and shortlisted for the Amazon First Novel Award.

Moderator: Roland Gulliver

The exchange program is presented in partnership with WOW Culture Lab, Seoul and KOFICE.
