Yrsa Sigurðardóttir is a writer of both crime novels and children’s fiction and works as a director at one of Iceland’s largest engineering firms. She is the recipient of two Icelandic prizes for literature, including the IBBY Award in 2000 and the Icelandic Children’s Book Award in 2003. She is the author of My Soul to Take, Ashes to DustDay is Dark and I Remember You, all of which have been European bestsellers. Sigurðardóttir presents The Undesired, her latest thriller about the investigation of potential child abuse at the treatment centre Krokur in the 1970s.
