Canadian poet Lorna Crozier discusses her latest book, a posthumous collection of poetry by Patrick Lane, Crozier’s long-time partner and one of Canada’s finest writers. Compiled and edited by Crozier, The Quiet in Me: Poems is a deeply personal meditation on the complicated art of existing. Lane’s lyrical writing cultivates dualism and reflects on the wisdom of the natural world. In this final collection, Lane’s observant eye offers an honest perspective on the pain and beauty around us: of life’s first and last moments. The Quiet in Me: Poems reminds us that everything returns to its natural state.

Interviewed by Catherine Graham.
