Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
– The Summer Day, Mary Oliver

Earlier this year, Charles Foran published Just Once, No More, a memoir four years in the making. It covered his relationship with his father and his slow, final decline; it examined the intricacies of who we were, who we become, and who we are until we are no longer.

Then he had a triple bypass.

In the aftermath of a cataclysmic health event, the words of his freshly published book were cast in a new light. Now, he takes the stage in an unmissable discussion on mortality, the essence of self, and the ways in which art and life echo one another.

Please note, the time for this event has changed. It will now take place at 11:30am in Harbourfront Centre Theatre.

This event will be followed by a book signing.
