Join poetry editor of House of Anansi Press and The Walrus, Damian Rogers, and award-winning poet Karen Solie as they read from and discuss their latest collections of poetry. Ken Babstock moderates.


  • Ken Babstock

    Ken Babstock won the inaugural Latner Writer’s Trust Poetry Prize in 2014 for a body of work in mid-career. His fourth collection, Methodist Hatchet, won the Griffin Prize for Excellence in Poetry and was a finalist for the Trillium Book Award. His previous collections of poetry include Mean, winner of the Atlantic Poetry Prize and the Milton Acorn People's Poet Award, and Airstream Land Yacht, winner of the Trillium Book Award for Poetry. His most recent collection, On Malice, was published in 2014 to critical acclaim. Babstock was born in Newfoundland and now lives in Toronto.

  • Karen Solie

    Karen Solie’s latest poetry collection, The Road In Is Not the Same Road Out, was published in Canada and the US in 2015. A volume of selected poems, The Living Option, was published in the UK in 2013. Her new work has appeared recently in The Walrus, The Paris Review, Harper’s, The London Review of Books, and Granta. An associate director for the Banff Centre’s Writing Studio, she lives in Toronto.
