Anne Carson is a poet, essayist and professor of Classics for over 30 years. She is the recipient of various awards and honors, including a Lannan Literary Award, the Griffin Trust Award for Excellence in Poetry and fellowships from the Guggenheim and MacArthur Foundations. Carson presents her most recent work, Red Doc>, a mix of poetry, drama and narrative that follows Geryon from Autobiography of Red, now known as "G," into the 21st century. Along with “Sad,” his lover and a troubled war veteran, and Ida, an artist, he embarks on a powerful journey of intellect, imagination and soul.
